Patrol Zeta is saved from annihilation by a group of Krogan cruisers, which covered the patrol and allowed them to jump away, then followed. The Empire learned that these Krogan were part of a group led by a Warlord, Jeris. In return for Imperial assistance to Unify Tuchanka, and his pick of Turian Worlds after the conquest, he offered to lead the Krogan under a Human banner.
